Typical Applications:

Low nickel-iron with good combination of strength and ductility. Nickel addition aids in case hardening. Frequently used in gears, cams, and small appliance parts. Most common alloy used in firearms parts. Equivalent to MPIF FN-0200-25.

Typical Applications:

Low nickel steel with high strength and tough core in heat treated parts. Heat treated from 110,000 psi (760 MPa) to 160,000 psi (1100 MPa) and 40-45 HRC. Equivalent to FN-0205-35.
